Online Tech’s system administrator, Steve VanTil, will present his experience moving Online Tech’s internal IT infrastructure to a private cloud computing platform for the Ann Arbor Virtualization Users Group (AAVUG) on February 24, 2011 at 6pm ET. In addition, Online Tech will be giving away two free cloud servers to demonstrate how easy it is to get started with cloud computing.
VMware vExpert Rod Mach, principal of HiperLogic, is hosting the event and will present his “Step by Step Guide to Deploying a Private Cloud” at the AAVUG meeting later this month. The event’s focus will be to show its members how to install and implement a private cloud at a data centre.
“A growing number of organisations are deploying private cloud solutions, and the AAVUG is pleased to have Online Tech present on their experience with their hosted private cloud solution,” said Rod Mach.
Steve VanTil, a VMware certified professional, and a systems architect for Online Tech’s private cloud offering has been with Online Tech since 2009. Also a Microsoft certified Enterprise Admin, Steve is an expert in Linux, VMware, and Microsoft. He will share his vast knowledge of virtualisation technology and how Online Tech made the switch from a traditional server infrastructure to the private cloud.
As a part of the event, Online Tech will be randomly giving away two free cloud servers to the attendees. For more information about the event and to register, please visit http://www.aavug.org/events.
