ParaScale, a cloud storage provider, and Alfresco, an open source content management system provider have teamed up to offer a content management system in the cloud.
The new application allows “online shops to store and access data in the cloud without adding management overhead or cost, offers easy configuration and setup, and ensures smooth scale-out of capacity”.
Emphasis has been placed on the ability to scale out seemlessly and remove the burden of having an extra layer of hardware and management that would be required to run such a system in-house. The news comes as companies are expanding their online content presence faster than ever before for Search Engine Optimisation.
The announcement, on June 17th, stated that the new package is available immediately;clients can now sign up for a free 4TB cloud account with ParaScale and integrate the free 30-day Alfresco Enterprise trial software with the cloud. Billing, as expected, is on a monthly subscription basis.
