Graeme Attkins

Graeme has been building websites since 1996, and his clients have included Kwik Fit Insurance Services, Edinburgh College of Art, Glasgow Caledonian University, Stirling University, Tesco Bank, NHS Scotland, Physical Activity Health Alliance (PAHA), Food and Health Alliance (FHA), Vote Scotland, Awards UK, the Green Insurance Company and the Student Loans Company to name a few.

Between 2000 and 2005, Graeme was the Web Manager for the Scottish Qualifications Authority (Scotland’s equivalent of QCDA, AQA and Edexcel).  Building up SQA’s website from 700 pages to over 15,000 and with over 60,000 documents available to download, it was also the first non-devolved government body to have an accessible website north of the border.

Specialising in accessible website design, Graeme also works tirelessly to provide solutions for user-driven content sites, ensuring that published content continues to meet the minimum requirements for accessibility.

Over the years, Graeme has also:

  • Been a nightclub doorman
  • Run a design and print/CD-Rom Authoring company
  • Owned a licensed bistro
  • Worked in television and video production
  • Provided animations for television and video
  • Owned a newspaper

Graeme currently runs his own website design company, Frecosse Website Design, and freelances for a number of design and web agencies.  He doesn’t work on Sundays.
